Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Marketify Inc. ("Marketify", "we", "us") operates https://marketify.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we handle it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a free audit, we collect your name, email, phone number (optional), trade, service area, whether you run ads and roughly what you spend, and your website. When you book a call, our scheduler collects your name, email and phone number. When you email or call us, we keep what you send.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our providers record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the site that sent you. If you arrive from an ad, the link carries a click identifier (Google gclid, gbraid or wbraid, Meta fbclid, Microsoft msclkid) and sometimes campaign tags (utm_ parameters). We store these so we know which ad or page led to a request.
Client account data. If you become a client, we access your Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile and call-tracking accounts with the permissions you grant. We see the lead, call and conversion data those tools record.
How we use it
- To respond to your request, schedule calls, and send the audit or quote you asked for.
- To credit each request or booking to the ad, page or site that brought it, so we can tell which of our own marketing works.
- To run, measure and improve the advertising we manage for clients.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
- To follow up about our services. If you are not a client, we only email you where Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) allows it, and every email lets you unsubscribe.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only for the purposes above:
- Google: Tag Manager, Analytics and Google Ads, to measure site traffic and ad conversions. Google Ads may show a Google forwarding number on this site so calls from ads can be counted; Google records the call time, duration and caller area code, not the conversation. Our typeface (Poppins) also loads from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address.
- Meta: the Meta Pixel, to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads.
- OpenAI: an advertising measurement tag, to measure our ads on OpenAI's platforms.
- Web3Forms: delivers free audit requests from this site to our inbox.
- SavvyCal: runs the booking calendar on our Book a Call page.
- GrowApp: our own lead software (grow.marketify.ca). Audit requests and bookings, with the ad and page details described above, are stored there.
- Netlify: hosts this website and keeps standard server logs.
- Email, accounting and cloud storage tools we use to run the business.
Each provider is bound by its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if required by law or court order, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses cookies, small files your browser stores, for the following:
- mkt_attr (Marketify, 90 days): the first page you landed on, the site that sent you, and any click identifiers and campaign tags in that link. Used only to credit a request or booking to its source.
- _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics, up to 2 years): counts visits and how people use the site.
- _gcl_au, _gcl_aw and similar (Google Ads, 90 days): links a visit to the Google ad that brought it.
- _fbp, _fbc (Meta, 90 days): links a visit to the Meta ad that brought it.
- OpenAI's advertising tag and the SavvyCal calendar may set their own cookies to do their jobs.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them. You can also turn off personalized Google ads at myadcenter.google.com, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and change your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
Call recording and tracking numbers
Calls to tracking numbers we set up for clients may be recorded for lead quality review. Callers hear a notice before the call connects. Recordings belong to the client and are kept according to the client's settings in the call-tracking tool.
Where your data is stored
Our providers store data in Canada, the United States and other countries where they operate. Data stored outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts and authorities. We choose providers with recognized security practices and privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
Audit requests and other prospect information: up to 24 months after our last contact. Client information: for the engagement plus seven years, as required for Canadian tax records. Google Analytics data: no more than 14 months. The mkt_attr cookie: 90 days in your browser.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we have no legal reason to keep it. You can withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time. Write to our privacy officer (below) and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you live in Quebec, you can also contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Security
We use access controls, two-factor authentication and encrypted connections for the tools we use. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will notify you and the regulator of any breach that creates a real risk of significant harm, as the law requires.
Children
This site and our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version, and changes are posted on this page.
